Square balusters and newels give a contemporary feel to a stair. They are a design alternative to turned and shaped stairparts.

Three designs give you a choice for any modern interior. They are all made from premium grade materials to ensure the best result for the finished staircase.

Newels can be made to suit the style of spindle. All three designs go equally well with the square planed newels. To finish these off you can choose a square pattress cap or even use the modus cap and chrome joint detail.

There are three themes within the square baluster ranges. These are Simply Planed, Stop Chamfered and Stop Ovolo. Oh! we also make a range of square moulded caps for these ranges.

Spindles can be 28mm x 28mm, 32mm x 32mm, 41mm x 41mm and 56mm x 56mm. Newels are 82mm x 82mm, 90mm x 90mm and 117mm x 117mm.

PAR - Planed Square.

With careful planing on all four sides these square sections show off the timber in full. Without further detail the natural figure and grain stands out within your choice of wood.

Carefully matched laminations in posts ensure consistent colour. The selection of fine timbers is carried out to ensure all Clive Durose PAR components are of the highest standard.

Stop Chamfered.

A forty five degree stop chamfer flat is moulded onto each corner of the spindle or posts. This simple detail suits contemporary interiors and is equally in keeping with more traditional homes. This small detail makes a big difference to the look of the stair case, adding that extra touch of craftsmanship.

Stop Ovolo.

One more step in detail - An ovolo mould on each corner of the balusters or newels. Another alternative for your modern interiors. We produce this style in large and small volumes.
