Clive Durose leading the way for business development

Clive Durose was this week recognised for its contribution to developing knowledge and skills within UK business after being awarded the highest grade for its Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Staffordshire University.

The Knowledge Transfer partnership is a UK wide programme funded by the Technology Strategy Board which aims to strengthen links between local business and knowledge bases such as Staffordshire University by improving innovation, competitiveness and productivity through high calibre graduate candidates. In this case the high calibre candidate was Kenny MacFarlane, who has himself been recognised with numerous awards for his contribution to the partnership.

By innovating within the market place Precision Timber Handrails has managed to quickly develop a reputation for quality, accuracy and reliability and is a shining example of how companies of all sizes can successfully diversify, embrace new ideas whilst also developing young talent.

The KTP grading panel judged the partnership based on the transfer of skills and knowledge between graduate, company and knowledge base which benefitted all three. Impressed by the excellent success of Precision Timber Handrails, they awarded Clive Durose the highest possible grade of “outstanding” in recognition of both the company and Kenny Macfarlane’s achievements.

This latest recognition is yet another milestone in the short but glittering history of Precision Timber Handrails and adds to the continuing success of Clive Durose.
